TK Eligibility updates:

• 2025-26 school year: All children who turn 4 by September 1st.

For first grade enrollment, California law requires a child to be six years old on or before September 1 (EC Section 48010) of their first grade year.

Muroc Joint Unified School District does not offer a preschool program for all children. Our preschool program is only available to children who have an active Individualized Education Program (IEP). If you believe your child may need an evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services, please contact the Special Education Department at 760-769-4821 x1237.
